iOS without mobile data link

In this manual we show you, how to set up a connection to the Wi-Fi network "eduroam" with your iOS device (i-Phone, i-Pad,...) without a consisting mobile data link.

Safety note

To securely access the Internet via the Wi-Fi network eduroam you must install the suitable configuration profile. Logging in without proper configuration poses security risks for your personal data!

1. Open LRZ webpage

At the campus use the open Wi-Fi network "lrz".
Open https://www.lrz.de/services/netz/wlan/eduroam/ to download the configuration profile.
Select the correct configuration profile and click on it.
You find your iOS-version at "Settings → General → About → Version".

2. Install configuration profile

3. Enter user credentials

Enter your user credentials as shown: TUM-ID@eduroam.mwn.de, e.g. gu27cat@eduroam.mwn.de.
You find your TUM ID in TUMonline at "E-mail addresses".

Tip user name

Enter your user name as shown and your device connects automatically, everywhere available, to "eduroam".

Enter your personal password.
Your personal password is your TUMonline password.

4. Connect the Wi-Fi network

You get the following view:
Click on "Done" to finally install the configuration profile. Your device connects automatically to the Wi-Fi.
IF NOT: Select "Settings → Wi-Fi → eduroam".
