"Simulation/Biologically accurate", so does that only mean the elements will behave somewhat correctly towards the player and simulate the system on a high level, or does that also include continuous simulation of "AI" cells with each other? In other words, how detailed will the simulation be?

Secondly, is there some sort of longer term setup? As in, is a single match just that, or does "progress" carry over into new levels or later matches?

About "together": what sort of interaction do the two players offer each other?

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

Unique setting, actually great potential for an informative game experience. If the system is "simulated" well, there are plenty options for additional mechanics, variety etc and unique ways to indicate game status.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

The actual barebones gameplay feels generic and uninspired next to the setting. If you're simulating an organic system, why not make the interactions between player and AI based on the real deal as well?

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

Networked MP. Basically cause everyone's doing it, and splitscreen may feel restrictive.

I think the setting is a cool idea, especially as you integrate it into the gameplay using your emulated immune-system.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?
I'm not too sure I like the whole shooting part too much - I know this is probably not too helpful since you won't change your main concept
but I would find it more interesting if the "contaminating other cells" or "eating and growing" of the players were more of a focus for the game than secondary mechanics.
I also think that there is not quite enough interaction between the players as this seems to be currently restricted to the ultimates (which I'm guessing will not be available to use all that often).

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?
Maybe some enemies that encourage cooperation could be cool.
Think of antibiotics for example - You could make it so the virus player, who is immune, must protect the bacterium from it.

I think it could be a very interesting concept to model the real immune system (as far this is possible in a game). Especially the fever bar I think is a very cool idea.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

This is ironically very similar to my favorite part. In serious games, there is always the risk that some the players dislike the game because they feel the game wants to teach them something (and they don`t want to learn right now).

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

As the unique part of the game is the simulation of the immune system, maybe it would make sense to include more enemies earlier in the time plan.

What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?
Seems like a great way to learn about the immune system.

What is your least favorite aspect? Why?
There don't seem to be enough mechanics that make the two players interact with each other. If it is a co-op game it shouldn't be game where there just happens to be another player playing the same game as me.

Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

I'd suggest the same as Robert above.

  5. 1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

The asymmetric coop part is great, as both players' gameplay might differ quite a bit and therefore make the game more engaging.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

I think that the setting might possibly get stale after a couple levels, especially if the enemy variety does not change the game enough.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

Focusing on adding some new and interesting element, like a new enemy or a pickup, to each level might make the game remain interesting for longer, as long as the shooting element is enjoyable.

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

Having two type of playable "characters" adds replayability and motivates players to try both.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

Have the system introduce the enemies level by level and starting over when the game is lost.
If the players lose at a certain level, do they need to start again from level 0? If yes, then it can get repetitive really fast.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

Implement the levels in a way similar to candy crush while still maintaining the introduction of enemies level by level.

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

The setting. Combined with the models you planed to create it could look amazing.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

Like said in some comments before, the Coop feels somewhat forced. At the moment it looks like a 2-player side-scroller, which is ballanced for two players instead of the classic one player, with slightly different characters.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

As said during your presentation you should make the player feel like he is in the human body.
Since you seem to focus on the setting and look&feel two additions seem pretty important to me:

    1. Some slowly moving cam-filter (or background filter) which tries to simulate the "feel" of the inside of a vein (or something similar)

    2. The movement of the characters should feel like they are floating in a fluid. Especially the bacterium (since its much bigger and will be more affected).
This would also improve to create a gap between the playstyles of both characters.

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

Im very interested  how the game will look in the end. (meaning the artstyle)

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

For me the theme/setting is a bit strange and feels not fitting. It also sounds weird that one bacterium and virus could harm the human body. (im no expert but i think there has to be way more than one of a type)

I also believe that it will be hard to balance fun and realism.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

What you have not talked about is the level design. I hope there will be some obstacles the player has to maneuver around, and they could also force the different players to split up.

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

The setting is quite unique and offers some interesting gameplay opportunities.

The Ultimate Abilities sound cool and interesting.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

To me it seems that in the combat of the game, which appears to be the main thing the players will be doing, the two players don't really have to work together outside the Ultimate Abilities. These, to me, sound like the most interesting thing to do. Otherwise, the bacterium and virus abilities sound relatively similar. Both have an attack that restores health and an (albeit different) ability to prevent damage.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

More team interactions, either directly (like your Ultimate Abilities), or indirectly through enemies that are for example resistant to one but not the other, etc...

  10. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga97fek) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?
Setting and learning about the immune system.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?
Except for the ultimates there doesn't seem to be much coop gameplay.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?
Just reminded me of this video: :)

  11. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga46jos) sagt:

1.What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

The gameplay and the setting seems to be a lot of fun. Having two characters with their very own skills increases the replayability factor.

2.What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

It's not quite clear how important the coop aspect is.

3.Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

For me it is not so important how realistic the movements of the characters feel with respect to their surroundings as long as the gameplay is fun and challenging.

  12. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga92win) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?
Creating a co-op shot'em up where each player has it's own features is a nice idear.
    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?
As said before I also find it kind of strange that a bacterium and a virus will harm the human body. Usually there are many of them.
    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?
I would focus more on the co-op part of the game as on implementing an realistic immune system. How can the two players help each other in the fighting.

  13. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga97qic) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?
If done right, this concept seems like a fun way to learn about the immune system.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?
Player interaction seems rather limited apart from ultis.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?
A larger focus on realism could turn this game into a nice serious game. Including different stages of mitosis for the bacteria for example, different enemies that only affect either bacterium or virus, different cells that are being affected differently by different players.
Not sure how this would work with a "realistic" intention in mind, but things like the virus "healthstealing" from the bacteria, by infecting it would maybe turn out as a fun feature.

  14. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga74bob) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

It seems the goal of the game would be to teach the player about the body's immune system and its response to foreign invasion. This in itself is reason enough to play the game!

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

The shoot-'em up aspect of the game. It is difficult to track progress within each level and the standards of the genre to shoot on sight or pick up power ups lacks depth. However, this game's other mechanics such as fever/alert level may make it more exciting than its competitors in the genre.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

I suggest focusing more on the co-op part of the game. Maybe add abilities for players to help each other without requiring power-ups e.g. bacteria blocking damage from enemies for the viruses or the viruses distracting enemies that are lethal to the bacteria. This necessitates them to work together and protect each other from the immune system and bring them closer together as partners in crime... or disease (Zwinkern)

  15. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga83zem) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

The artistic style of this game, its inhabitants and all other stuff are extremely unique and fit perfectly to a games lab format.

I also really like that the whole "world", the whole immune system will change depending on the actions of players. It reminded me of one of my favourite games, The Void, where the world can become more agressive, more quick, ore more... greedy, depending on which color you use the most. I wish I could see something similar in your game (though it wouldn't bring much more fun I presume)

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

I am afraid that the basic shooting gameplay can be a little boring. For the bacteria, it might be that alone it just absorbs a lot of damage, but without

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

Thoughtfully add new skills and abilities inspired from the real bacterias and viruses, that can really alter the whole gameplay (for instance, infecting the cells and bringing them to your side for a while), but do not forget that basic fighting part should be also fun.

  16. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga34mek) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

I really like the aspect of asymmetrical gameplay, because everyone gets a different role that he has to play, which also gives replayability if the roles feel different.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

I actually really like the idea of the human body as a setting, it is original. But it could hurt your gameplay if you are too realistic.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

You should focus to make the roles really unique, which also highlights the "together" aspect more. For example, as it was said before in other comments, that only one player can do certain things and has to help the other player.

  17. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga25yoy) sagt:

    1. What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

It is a cool idea, since it is something completely different and also has a learn effect for the player.

    2. What is your least favorite aspect? Why ?

Balancing the two different player types to be vaguely the same difficulty to play could be hard. Starting with the bacterium being slower and the constantly moving game frame and also with balancing the skills.

    3. Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

Upon death of one player I would somehow give the other one like a hard challenge in terms of enemies coming or similar to rebirth his partner ( very small bacterium, low number of viruses ).

  18. Unbekannter Benutzer (ga54tov) sagt:

As some people have mentioned before, I'd also suggest focusing on the co-op part of the game and player interaction, so it'll fit the theme "together" a little more.
