  1. Pro: I like that you have come up with a very entertaining concept that is intuitive and it is a concept that feels like its made for all. Also I like the 'cat' themed puns.

Con/Concern: Since the painting/ duplication of the art is the core concept, how accurate should the 2 images be, to make the game challenging I would think about making it tougher but i would think about making just the pixels of the painting accurate or the overall painting (all parts/corners)

Suggestion: A suggestion would be to make a difficulty level, not only of the paintings but also of the accuracy of the paintings. I think that would make it easier to balance while testing and also for players that don't expect a high difficulty example: kids

Pro: The idea of having to draw in darkness or other modifiers is great. This can easily be used to change the difficulty from one level to another.

Con: I dont own VR and didnt use the VR controls yet so i dont know how difficult it is but it might be a bit repetitive if you only have to draw simple shapes.

Suggestion: Give more focus to creating the modifiers for drawing and test if complex pictures are possible to be drawn in VR. Simplifying the detection mechanism will propably also make it easier for the player to understand why his picture was not accurate enough.

  3. Pro: I love the creative and fresh idea of this game, especially if you make it to the sculpturing part!
Con: I am not sure about the difficulty, because if you draw simple shapes it might be too easy and not that challenging.
Suggestion: You can maybe add an easy option to do a number painting (unfilled outline of the picture), and the player should mix the right colors to duplicate the painting correctly and then you can just check if the colors are accurate.

  4. Pro: I love the idea of reccreating paintings, especially in VR it demands artistic fineness in a way a lot of people have never tried it before. I don't know if you will achieve it but i would be curious how the sculting will turn out at the end.

Con: It think the gameplay outside of the drawing should not distract from the art copying mechanic.

Suggestion: So the difficulty is not to low, I'd suggest to build on the drawing and copying mechanic instead of adding mechanics outside of the canvas too much. Like, rotating canvas while playing, flickering light which turns the room dark every now and then or colored light whcih diverts the colorspaces

  5. > What is your favorite aspect of the proposed game? Why?

VR Creative tools meet VR Video Games, and you're tackling the problem of visual similarity.

    > What is your least favorite aspect? Why?

Suddenly finding yourself in a gallery. There's no infiltration, that sounds a bit too sudden to me.

    > Which single change or addition would you suggest to most improve the game?

I would like to see different tools for finishing a painting. The cat would have a hard time copying a Pollock with a mere brush...

  6. Pro: I like how developed your story is. I haven't painted in VR so far, so I am really looking forward to seeing how your game turns out.

Con/Concern: I could imagine that drawing "in the air" without an actual hard surface might be quite difficult for players.

Suggestion: I would suggest decoupling the actual shape drawing from its position and orientation and being able to tweak the latter after the shape is finalized.

  7. Mingyang Li sagt:

Pro: I think it's a great family and friends game that makes fun and relax them.

Con: However, just finishing the drawing may bore the players very quickly

Suggestion: It might be helpful to add some competition between players. Such as, a time limit may give players more pressure. After each drawing, the system will give out a degree of completion to know which player won the game.

  8. Omar Koraa sagt:

Pro: I really like the game idea. It is simple but fun and making it in VR would even more interesting. I love the cat puns also in your story. I am excited to try the game.

Con/Concern: I think the drawing mechanic will be a bit hard in VR.

Suggestion: A level based game would be nice introducing me to the controls and getting harder level by level.

  9. Pro: Innovative game story since you have a creative name and you are using creative names. I think it would be really fun

Con: I think drawing in the air without having a surface where I could draw on would be a little bit hard and might kill the joy in the game

Suggestion: Having different modes in the game where each mode induces different challenges

  10. Pro: I like that the game has a back story that can help the player to connect with the goal. Also, integrating the VR with the drawing activity is unique on its own.

Con: It's more of a concern, but how will you will be evaluating the skills of the players' drawings? and also, are the drawings just limited to the basic shapes or it will be more difficult?

Suggestion: Maybe integrating more challenging factors into the game play if the basic shapes will be used, then a competition between different players or a dashboard can be an idea to be considered

  11. Zixiang Wang sagt:

Pro: The name "Duplicat" is really great as it combines the core mechanic and the main character. A fascinating game title will always catch player's eyes immediately

Cons: I think the game logic of drawing in the air is hard to realize, the mode to swtich from drawing and repositioning without drawing have to be designed well.

Suggestion: Iower the tolerent of comparing the original picture and the one player drawed. Because the accuracy of drawing a picture with VR might be low and player will get frustrated when they try hard but can't reach the standard.

  12. Pro: The game mechanic of drawing while avoiding the dangers sounds fun and immersive.

Con: The drawing mechanic needs to be well implemented so that it is not too difficult to draw.

Suggestion: Using already implemented drawing algorithms might help you focus on other aspects of the game because otherwise, the implementation for the algorithm might take most of the project time.
