Legal conditions for participation in the CYSTINET-Africa photo contest. By submitting a contest entry, the participant agrees to the following conditions:

Copyrights

The participant assures that he or she owns all rights to the submitted photo, that the photo is free of third party rights and that the depiction of persons does not violate any personal rights.

If one or more persons are recognizably depicted in the photograph, the persons concerned must agree to the publication of the photo. The participant also assures, not to submit any material that violates legal regulations.

All illegal content is prohibited, especially content that promotes racism, intolerance, inhuman content or depictions or descriptions of sexual acts.

Illegal content will be reported immediately without warning and exceptions. Should third parties assert claims for infringement of their rights, the participant shall indemnify the organizer from all claims.

Responsible for the content (images, files, texts, etc.) of the pages, is exclusively the person, from which the images were transmitted.

Liability

The Technical University of Munich and the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University Munich take no liability for the loss of or possible damage to the submitted photos.

Granting of rights

All rights of use to the photos are granted by the submission for the period of the competition, including publication in digital or print media, such as the planned conference by CYSTINET-Africa and the Center for Global Health at the Technical University of Munich.

Furthermore, the participant agrees that the photos may be used by CYSTINET-Africa and the Center for Global Health (TUM) within the scope of its duties (e.g. on flyers/presentations or the website).

Data protection

The data submitted by the participants will be disclosed to third parties in the event that the images are published as part of the photo competition (reporting on it, award ceremony, publication on the homepage, etc.). The participant hereby expressly declares his or her agreement.

Legal remedy

The right of appeal is excluded.
