Abstract
Situations like Stuttgart 21 occurred due to a combination of communication problems which piled up overtime. We observe cases such as Stuttgart 21 and extract the events that lead up to such disasters. We then explore game design principles and apply it by designing a game around a new situation (tram in the english garden) to evaluate a game as an effective data collection tool. The ultimate goal is to propose a framework in which games can replace gamified surveys.
